What Is Activated Charcoal (AC)?

Activated charcoal (also known as activated carbon) is a special type of charcoal which has been chemically or thermally (heat) activated.

This activation makes it become extremely porous ie having a lot of tiny holes in its natural structure. These tiny holes adsorb a wide range of toxins and impurities from substances and surfaces they come in contact with.

This basically means it sticks to, and sucks out impurities from anything it comes in contact with. This knowledge is what has been applied in making our activated charcoal.
